Priority issues in AISIN Group
AISIN Group has selected seven priority issues to tackle so that we can accelerate our initiatives to solve social issues through our business activities.
We selected these issues by identifying points in the 17 goals and 169 targets of the SDGs that are relevant to AISIN Group’s business and supply chain and then ranking them according to the expectations and requests of our stakeholders and the importance of each point to AISIN Group. We then created a matrix for the issues with the highest priority and made our final selections based on discussions between top management and related executives and feedback from outside experts, directors and auditors.

Global warming control
To expand products toward substantially zero GHG emissions in 2050
We are promoting CO2 emission reduction and fuel economy improvement of vehicles by working to develop a wide range of products that are indispensable for electrified vehicles, including eAxle and thermal management systems, thereby increasing the ratio of electrified products.
Utilizing expertise that has been cultivated in the development of hybrid transmissions, a simple and compact unit was developed, helping to increase the use of electrified vehicles.
Lowers electricity consumption in core parts/components for electrified vehicles (motor, inverter and battery), improving fuel efficiency.
Reduction of traffic accidents, Providing safe means of movement / transportation
To expand safety goods toward the realization of a zero road casualty society
Aiming to achieve a society with zero casualties from traffic acc idents, we are promoting development of automated parking technologies, including a parking support system that does not require steering, accelerator or brake operations, which helps to reduce accidents in parking areas; and a driver monitoring system that detects inattentive driving which may lead to a traffic accident, and checks the driver’s condition.

Improving quality of life and building environmentally friendly communities
Contributing to creating a city that makes people’s lives better and is more environmentally conscious by spreading clean and highly-efficient energy-related products and providing comfortable housing spaces

We will strive to develop and promote use of clean and highly e fficient energy products, such as ENE-FARM, and promote creation of a zero-carbon and recycling-based society.

To create products and services toward the realization of a more convenient and safer society
We are promoting provision of new products and services conducive to health and welfare, including the LINE Car Navigation, which links in-vehicle systems to a smartphone, which is one of our efforts in the connected cars area; and Choisoko, a shared shuttle bus service that aims to expand opportunities to go out, leading to the promotion of health for elderly people.
