AISIN Recognized on the A List (Highest Rating) of CDP’s Climate Change Category for the First Time

 AISIN CORPORATION (Head office: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Moritaka Yoshida) has been recognized as an “A List” company, which is the highest rating in the climate change category of CDP, an international environmental NGO (Headquarters: London, U.K.). This is the third time for AISIN to be recognized on the “A List” following its recognition in the water security category in 2021 and 2022. This is the first time for it to be recognized in the climate change category.

 AISIN is a manufacturing company that emits a large amount of CO2. As an automotive supplier whose products consume energy when they are used, AISIN is responsible for contributing to the realization of a sustainable society, including the carbon neutrality of society as a whole. The company has set specific goals to achieve carbon neutrality in production by 2035 and achieve carbon neutrality for the entire life cycle by 2050. It has been advancing initiatives in terms of production and products.

 In addition to initiatives to cut CO2 emissions during in-house production and the use of its products as well as collaboration with suppliers, AISIN aims to put its technologies that contribute to carbon neutrality of society as a whole to practical application through projects with national bodies*, including the Ministry of the Environment and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). Recognition on the “A List” in the climate change category means that our initiatives across the value chain have been highly evaluated.

 AISIN has set “To the future, a sustainable environment” as one of the values it offers to society and stakeholders. Through activities toward carbon neutrality, AISIN remains committed to contributing to the spread of technologies to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions in local communities.
