High-reliability Water Pump Developed from the Engine System Requirements
- The material of mechanical seals having a large role to play in preventing cooling water leakage changed to silicon carbide (SiC) from alumina. Thereby heating in the sliding portion and wear of the sliding member are prevented. Sealability is also improved.
- The triple lip seal is adopted as the bearing seal on the rear side. The bearing damage caused by which cooling water leaking from the mechanical seal infiltrates in the bearing, is prevented

- Engine output is improved by optimally controlling air flow to cylinder chambers by switching passages having different length
- To improve engine output, a rotary valve, which has low intake pressure loss, is used for a variable intake portion
