AISIN Sea Horses

Sixty years have passed since the formation of the men's basketball team in 1947, and the team has continued over the years to enjoy the support of the local community. The team has conquered the Japan Basketball League (JBL) on three occasions and won the Emperor’s Cup five times. Every year we sponsor the AISIN Cup, a basketball tournament aimed at junior high school pupils all over Japan, and organize basketball tuition. As good corporate citizens, we intend to continue making an active contribution through sport to facilitate harmonious coexistence with the local community and society.

Aisin Seiki Sumo Club

The sumo club was founded sixty years ago and has been victorious in the All Japan Corporate Sumo Tournament three times and at the National Athletics Meet on four occasions. In fiscal 2007 the team traveled to Turkey and presented sumo bouts in Istanbul and elsewhere. They also get together with locally based foreign students in Japan to enjoy the chanko cuisine consumed by sumo wrestlers, and are constantly looking to expand their circle of friends all over the world.
