Activities to Improve Environmental Management at Suppliers
AISIN has requested the implementation of voluntary inspections at non-ISO 14000-certified parts suppliers since 2000 and materials suppliers since 2003 so that they achieve the levels of environmental management we require by using an inspection checklist. Based on these results, we carry out onsite inspection visits to offer guidance as to how to improve their performance. As a result, there has been an increase in the number of suppliers who have obtained certification.

Green Purchasing Guidelines
Increasing cooperation with suppliers is central to promoting environmentally conscious business activities. To that end, AISIN compiled its Green Purchasing Guidelines to cover AISIN's environmental activities, and has requested that suppliers to address our common objective of global environmental conservation.
