Promoting New Environmental Products and Technologies
The AISIN Group believes that reduction of environmental loads and development of pioneering environmental technologies is key to building a sustainable society.
In every business from automotive parts and life related to energy, we aim to develop high-performance, high-quality products with minimal impact on the environment through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and alternative energy research.
Promoting Utilization of Aisin Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
In fiscal 2007, we developed the LCA calculation tool “AISIN LCA Template” targeting 34 AISIN representative products. It provides calculation on the environmental impacts generated in every stage from extraction of materials to manufacturing, transport, usage and disposal. Using this tool, we are promoting a reduction in environmental impacts throughout a product’s lifecycle, particularly in such energy related products as GHPs.
