As one way of contributing to the community, U.S.-based AISIN World Corp. of America (AWA) holds an annual toy drive in which employees visit local fire and police stations and hospitals to distribute toys to children who have suffered as a result of fire or accidents, or who are fighting illness. In fiscal 2007, AWA collected numerous stuffed toys, miniature cars and even bicycles. These items were donated by the company in the spirit of encouraging kids who face challenges.

Aisin Drivetrain, Inc. (ADI: Indiana, U.S.A.)

ADI employees repainted the walls of a public library at the request of a volunteer organization. In Indiana, each district or neighboring area has its own “Day of Caring,” and ADI is participating in volunteer activities at nursing homes, cleanup activities and other such efforts.

Aisin Europe S.A., UK Branch (Kent, England)

There are 300 hospitals in Britain with their own radio stations offering FM radio for patients. An employee of Aisin Europe's UK branch has been volunteering his disk jockey services at a local hospital since 2002, giving patients an opportunity to relax as well as the courage to fight against illness.
