The voice recognition system "YYSystem" developed by AISIN CORPORATION has been introduced by Yurikamome Inc. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President: Fumihiro Abe; hereinafter referred to as "Yurikamome") and is now installed at some of the station information desks. This installation is part of efforts to create an accessible environment in anticipation of the "25th Summer Deaflympics Tokyo 2025," contributing to smooth communication at the station information desks.

The Deaflympics is an international sports event for individuals with hearing disabilities, and this will be the first time the event is held in Japan. The event also serves as an opportunity to deepen social understanding of people with hearing disabilities, and it is expected to attract many visitors, including those with hearing impairments, elderly individuals with hearing difficulties, and international guests.

By installing "YYSystem" at Yurikamome stations, we aim to create a universal designed environment that allows everyone to access services freely, facilitating stress-free communication. Additionally, it will help reduce the workload for station staff by minimizing the need for written communication and translation.

AISIN will continue to promote the introduction of "YYSystem" in public transportation and other areas, aiming to enhance universal communication and create a society where more people can coexist comfortably and safely.

"YYSystem" is a system that recognizes speech in real-time, converts it into text using artificial intelligence (AI), and displays it on a transparent screen. It boasts high speech recognition performance even in noisy environments like train stations, allowing for convenient and secure communication with individuals who have hearing disabilities. Additionally, its real-time translation feature supports communication in 31 languages, aiding interactions with foreign visitors.
