Best Design Award Granted for the Voice Recognition System YYSystem for the First Time at Taiwan's Golden Pin Design Award 2024
Communication support app that has evolved through dialogue with hearing-impaired users receives recognition overseas.

AISIN CORPORATION has won the Best Design Award in the Integration Design category of the Golden Pin Design Award 2024 for the first time for the voice recognition system YYSystem1 developed by the company.
The Golden Pin Design Award was started in Taiwan in 1981 to select outstanding designs from works around the world. This year, 2,339 works were submitted from 21 regions around the world, of which 642 were selected for the Golden Pin Design Award. Moreover, 32 particularly outstanding works were awarded the Best Design Award, and YYSystem was selected as one of the prestigious winning works.
The award ceremony was held at the Taiwan Traditional Theatre Center on December 13, 2024. AISIN's development team attended the ceremony together with hearing-impaired users who helped create the system. They shared the joy of winning while using the real-time translation function of YYSystem together during the ceremony.

Our YYSystem is a communication support system that utilizes AI technology and is used by many people with hearing impairments in Japan. I am extremely pleased that our users from Japan are here with us today to receive this award with us. The development team worked together with users on the features and created the system. I feel truly honored that the results we have achieved have been recognized.

This year's award-winning works, including AISIN 's YYSystem, are exhibited at the Taiwan Design Museum from Tuesday, December 3, 2024 to Sunday, April 6, 2025.

1. YYSystem
YYSystem is a series of applications that provide communication support primarily for people with hearing impairments, based on a unique algorithm at the core that visualizes voices and sounds. In addition to its high voice recognition performance even in noisy environments, its unique feature is the ability to convey not only the voice and words but also the atmosphere of the conversation, helping to create a society in which people with hearing impairments can communicate conveniently and with confidence.
In addition, YYSystem has a real-time translation function that supports 29 languages2 and is used to support people with hearing impairments faced with communication needs overseas, as well as to support communication with foreigners at hotels and train stations, which are receiving an increasing number of foreign visitors.
