The Aisin Group* including Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kariya-shi, Aichi, President: Yasumori Ihara) will exhibit at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2018 Yokohama, which will be held at Pacifico Yokohama located at Nishi-ku, Yokohama from Wednesday, May 23 to Friday, May 25.
In response to structural changes taking place in the automotive industry, Aisin Group is pursuing Zero Emissions, Automated Driving and Connected Cars as its three development areas of focus. Aisin Group will showcase at the forthcoming exhibition its products and technologies that help to achieve its development goals.
For Zero Emissions, 1-motor FWD Hybrid Transmission and eAxle will be on display to demonstrate the Aisin Group's efforts in vehicle electrification in its powertrain lineup.
For Automated Driving, an image recognition system and chassis and brake system products will be exhibited to showcase Vehicle Dynamics Control and Automated Valet Parking technologies that we are currently developing.
For Connected Cars, Aisin Group will exhibit Car Navigation System-Linked Pneumatic Seat. This system is combined with Pneumatic Seat that has a function of support adjustment by air pressure and Location-Based Service based on navigation technologies.
We will also present three technical papers discussing "Verification of how blow-by gases leak into oil," "A study of brake disc basic design to improve cooling property" and "Development of the piston skirt low friction technology using cross hatch shape."
