Formulation of the Sixth Aisin Consolidated Environmental Action Plan－Fulfilling responsibility as a global company toward attainment of a sustainable society Maximum efforts are being made by the Aisin Group to help realize such a society

Aisin aims to establish by 2050 a CO2-free system in which CO2 emissions are cut to zero over the entire "life cycle" of products, from production and use to waste disposal. By doing so, Aisin believes that it is possible to establish a sustainable society in which people live in harmony with the global environment. The Aisin Group is prepared to mobilize all its business resources to help establish such a society.

To concretize this policy, we have drawn up the Sixth Aisin Consolidated Environmental Action Plan, a five-year plan aimed at providing Group companies with environmental action guidelines for the period between fiscal 2016 and fiscal 2020.

Under the sixth action plan, we have set priority environmental policy items, specific measures to be implemented and environmental goals in the fields of management and communication, based on the four "environmental axes" adopted under the fifth action plan, with the hope of evolving them into a comprehensive management system.

Establishment of a society in which people coexist with nature	Evolution aimed at promoting harmony with nature ・Adoption of a regional program aimed at preserving biodiversity
Fundamental activities	Evolution aimed at globalizing management and communication ・Establishment and operation of a system to evaluate the consolidated global environmental management system (EMS)

We aim to contribute to global environmental activities by disseminating our environmental technologies and know-how to society.
* Life cycle: All stages in the life span of parts, such as automobile components, from manufacture and use to waste disposal
** The action plan will be implemented and promoted not only in Japan but also overseas through region-by-region environmental committees set up at 181companies across the world. (as of the end of March 2015)
