Last year, we expanded our overseas bases, developed system products, and robustly developed a foundation for achieving the AISIN Group VISION 2020. We expect consolidated sales to hit a record high.
Nonetheless, our business environment is becoming ever harsher. In the automobile industry, technological progress is accelerating and competitors are undergoing rapid changes. We in the AISIN Group are working as one and striving for further growth to beat out the global competition. We have recently announced business restructuring and organizational changes with the aim of developing and vigorously promoting management and business strategies from the perspective of the entire AISIN Group. To further strengthen alliances within the Group, to promote efforts to achieve VISION 2020, and to succeed in making big changes, I would like all team members to keep the following three things in mind.

1) Expand the scope of your responsibilities, have a greater sense of involvement, and deliver steady results.
In order to establish the competitiveness of our core business, you should have a greater sense of involvement in a wide range of issues. Do not rely only on your past experiences.

2) Learn the social conditions, cultures, and values of other countries and apply them to your work.
Do not be constrained by Japanese practices or values but gain a deep understanding of the history, cultures, and laws of other countries where we operate in order to expand our business operations locally as an "Irreplaceable Global Partner."

3) Proactively deal with fundamental issues and fulfill your role.
Erase any preconceptions you may have, take a fresh look at your grueling experiences, and proactively face challenges in order to develop a strong business structure.

This year is a historic year that marks our 50th anniversary. It is also the new beginning of the next 50 years of our history. Let us all put our efforts together to write a new vibrant chapter in the history of the AISIN Group.
