Aisin Seiki and Aisin AI will jointly exhibit for the first time at the auto show Congresso SAE Brasil 2014, to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from September 30 to October 2.

Automakers that manufacture vehicles locally in Brazil are taking steps to comply with the INOVAR-AUTO* incentive program, which sets targets for local procurement, fuel efficiency and other aspects of vehicle production.

Aisin will exhibit door latches, seat frames, and other body parts already being produced locally in Brazil, as well as manual transmissions and engine components slated to be manufactured there in the future, aiming to publicize the Aisin Group's local production framework and compliance with INOVAR-AUTO, and promote sales to automakers that are boosting vehicle production or newly entering the Brazilian market. There will also be a demonstration vehicle equipped with a wide variety of Aisin Group products, illustrating the broad spectrum of our products from individual components to integrated units, and boosting our name recognition among local automakers.

*INOVAR-AUTO is a policy that offers tax incentives on vehicles that meet certain government-designated targets (percentage of manufacturing processes carried out locally, fuel efficiency standards, etc.)
