Six companies of the Aisin Group (Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd., Aisin Takaoka Co., Ltd., Aisin Chemical Co., Ltd., Aisin AW Co., Ltd., Aisin AI Co., Ltd. and ADVICS Co., Ltd.) held a joint company orientation from 10:10 a.m. today in the gymnasium of Aisin Seiki (Kariya City, Aichi).

The attendants to the orientation included 918 new employees, Kanshiro Toyoda (Chairman of Aisin Seiki), presidents of the six companies and people involved in related labor unions.

Chairman Toyoda gave a welcoming message and pep-talk to the new employees, followed by the oath delivered by Hiroko Nishimura (Aisin Seiki) on behalf of the six group companies. She pledged, "We will grow to be persons who can inspire and are trusted by people around the world."

In the midst of various changes and reforms, we formulated and started the "2020 Aisin Group Vision," which shares our vision of what we all should be with everyone working in the Aisin Group around the world in order to realize sustainable growth in the future. I would like to tell you about three things you should keep in mind to achieve this goal via concerted efforts.

First, I would like each of you to be a "world-class professional in your respective areas of expertise."

Second, please do not forget the "importance of working as a team," like the asteroid probe "Hayabusa" that overcame numerous difficulties because of teamwork.

Third, please make the effort to visit the scene, see it with your own eyes and "have your own standard of judgment without blindly accepting the information at hand."

I expect all of you to abide by the rules of your hosting community and society as a whole, fulfill your responsibilities and roles as a member of society, and become a person who not only supports the company's business but can also make a contribution to Japan as a whole.
