The AISIN Group's “GREEN & BLUE Project” surpasses 500,000 trees planted

Nov. 27, 2025

News Release

AISIN Corporation and the AISIN Group have surpassed a cumulative total of 500,000 trees planted1 through their tree-planting activities under the “GREEN & BLUE Project.”

The AISIN Group launched the “GREEN & BLUE Project” in 2023. This initiative leverages the CO2 absorption capacity of land and oceans to contribute to achieving carbon neutrality while promoting environmental protection. The project aims to plant 800,000 trees by 2030. This goal aims to absorb an amount equivalent to the approximately 32,000 tons of CO2※2 emitted annually by the private vehicles of all AISIN Group employees of over 110,000 people. In addition to forest management activities such as planting trees (including mangroves) and thinning, we are expanding our efforts to both land and sea by undertaking the cultivation and restoration of seagrass and seaweed beds starting in 2024.

Since surpassing 200,000 trees planted in November 2024, the awareness and support for “GREEN & BLUE Project” have expanded across Asia (including Japan), North America, Central and South America, and Europe. Participating group companies have increased from 97 to 112 ※3 companies. Furthermore, in Japan, we are advancing agreements with municipalities actively engaged in forest management to broaden our partnerships.

The AISIN Group has adopted “To the future, a sustainable environment” as one of the values it provides to society and its stakeholders. Moving forward, we will expand our activities toward achieving this goal while broadening partnerships both domestically and internationally.
