[Summary of message from Chairman Toyoda]

The future of the economic recovery remains opaque, and advancing globalization affects our business in ways that are impossible to predict. Competition in the auto industry is increasingly ferocious, and we continue to face a challenging and uncertain business environment.
In the midst of this severe climate, the Aisin Group marks the milestone of 50 years since our establishment. Last year, we moved to restructure our organization so as to face the challenges of this new era as a united and more competitive corporate Group. In line with this effort, to achieve sustainable growth, there are three areas in which I would like you, as the future of the Group, to put forth maximum effort.

1. Be a world-class professional in your specific field.
First of all, make every effort not only to know your particular field but also to love it. Also, to grow into a globally competent professional, make a habit of learning about the history, cultural backgrounds, and rules and customs of Japan and other countries on a daily basis.

2. Never forget to work together as a team.
Even during times of great difficulty, there is no problem that cannot be overcome by team members who understand and help one another, and make the most of each individual's abilities. Endeavor to communicate face to face, and build positive relationships with one another.

3. Do not take the information in front of you at face value.

Develop the ability to make your own independent judgments.
You live in a world where a neat answer to every problem will not be handed to you on a platter. I ask you to stay curious and broaden your horizons, make active efforts to gather information, and hone your ability to find appropriate solutions on your own.

I have the utmost confidence that you will act boldly with youthful energy, fulfill your responsibilities as a member of the workforce, and grow into competent professionals who not only uphold the company's business operations, but also make positive contributions to Japanese society as a whole.
