AISIN Participate the 38th Tokyo Motor Show (November 2, 2004)

Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. (President: Kanshiro Toyoda; Headquarters: Kariya, Aichi) and Aisin Takaoka Co., Ltd., Aisin Chemical Co., Ltd., Aisin AW Co., Ltd., Aisin AI Co., Ltd., and ADVICS Co., Ltd., six of the AISIN Group companies will jointly participate in the 38th Tokyo Motor Show 2004 to be held from November 2 at Makuhari Messe (Chiba city, Chiba prefecture). Details of the AISIN Group booth are as follows:

1.Theme
The Aisin Group contributes to the enrichment of the driving experience enhancing the key-words –Environment”, –Safety” and –Comfort”.

2.Exhibit Outline
To present a wide product range, advanced technology and the system development capabilities of the Aisin Group, the “Demonstration Car III ” a wire-framed car model equipped with about 280 products of the Aisin Group will be exhibited for showing components and systems which is usually invisible, and presenting intelligibly the function and the effect of the systems.

New products enhancing the key words –Environment”, –Safety” and –Comfort” are installed into the –Demonstration Car III ”, and its body side can be opened/closed so as to provide the clear view of the inner components and systems. Further, each component and system can be visually classified into each product line by the different colors applied to those components and systems. In addition, the characteristics of each product and system will be explained by the video display on a large screen.

Drivetrain Related Products:

Drivetrain is the core business of the AISIN Group and we will be exhibiting attractive and high quality products. We will be exhibiting –world-class 6-speed transmission series” including RWD 6-speed Automatic Transmission (AT) for light duty trucks and buses released in this spring, FWD and RWD 6-speed Automatic Transmission (AT) for passenger cars, and RR 6-speed Manual Transmission (MT) employed by Porsche.

We will also be having reference exhibition of Fuel Cell System.

Information Related Products:

Aisin Group will be exhibiting ITS products using image processing technology and information and communications technology. We will be exhibiting a demonstration vehicle for the visitors to experience our Future Parking Assist System, Vehicle Surroundings Monitor System, and Intersection Obstacle Notification System. We will be exhibiting ITS products pursuing safety and convenience of the future commercial vehicles.
