Building a Global Production System for Annual Production of 4.5 million Electric Units

Vehicles with high environmental performance. Notably, demand for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs) has been increasing. This requires a stable product supply system. AISIN is the only automotive parts manufacturer that provides a full lineup of drive units for HEVs, PHEVs (plug-in hybrid vehicles), BEVs, and FCEVs (fuel cell electric vehicles). We have been building a system to flexibly meet various needs. As part of the initiative, we have strengthened our production system in each region with the goal of establishing a global production system with an annual output of 4.5 million electric units* by 2025. We will build upon our strong corporate foundation to ensure continuous sustainable growth while deepening cooperation and collaboration with partners, including customers.

Quickly meeting customers’ needs through region-led management

AISIN has been steadily building a global production system for electrification. By the end of 2025, a production system with the capacity of 4.5 million electric units will be established as planned.

Meanwhile, market conditions vary in respective regions with changes becoming increasingly significant. To respond quickly and adaptly to the situation, AISIN has been shifting from its head office-led management system to more region-specific management approach. As part of this initiative, we have been building a system for promoting talented local personnel to top positions in Europe, China, and India to enable regionally led decisions and actions. Through these efforts, we will experience the benefit of region-led management while accurately identifying the needs of the market and customers, thereby deepening our relationships in each region.

In pursuit of sustainable growth, we will continue to work on these activities to realize the AISIN Group philosophy: Inspiring “movement,” creating tomorrow.
