　 AISIN AI CO., LTD. (Head office: Nishio City, Aichi Pref., President: Masahiro SUO) has started production of the middle torque capacity 6-speed manual transmission for the front-wheel drive (FWD) TOYOTA new EU “AVENSIS”.

　 This new manual transmission achieved the world-class shift quality by reforming the shift layout, the efficient torque convention through the most suitable lubricant system, contributing to low fuel consumption, and is lightweight and compact by adopting 2 pieces housing case. The product is manufactured with advanced production technology and environmental friendly system and is the first product of Kira plant, located in Hazu District, Aichi Pref., that was completed January 16, 2008.

　 We will further expand sales with this middle torque 6-speed manual transmission as our company’s leading product to contribute to farther fuel economy.
