AISIN
Group to Hold Joint Exhibit at 39th Tokyo Motor Show

Six AISIN Group Companies, including the parent company, Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd.
(President: Yasuhito Yamauchi; Headquarters: Kariya, Aichi) as well as Aisin Takaoka
Co., Ltd., Aisin Chemical Co., Ltd., Aisin AW Co., Ltd., Aisin AI Co., Ltd. and
ADVICS Co., Ltd., will jointly exhibit their products at the 39th Tokyo Motor
Show to be held at Makuhari Messe (Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture) from October
21 (Friday) to November 6 (Sunday).
1. Theme
Contributing to an enriched motorized society in the 21st century guided by the
watchwords environment, safety and comfort.
2. Exhibit Overview
The AISIN Group will once again showcase its Demonstration Car III, a wire-framed
car model that integrates approximately 200 components and systems, mainly comprising
the AISIN Group's automobile systems products. This demo model features an array
of ordinarily unseen products and systems, and each product line is color-coded
to provide an easy understanding of the locations of components as well as the
movements and effects of its systems. At this year's Tokyo Motor Show, AISIN's
Demonstration Car III will feature electronic storable seats for minivans as a
new product and aims to promote an understanding of the dynamic and ingenious
movements of such seats and other systems. Additionally, the AISIN Group's product
exhibition corner will provide visitors with a close-up glimpse of the latest
products.

4. Principal Products to Be Exhibited
In its core drivetrain related products business, AISIN will introduce its
6-speed Automatic Transmissions (AT) and
6-speed manual transmissions (MT) for a wide range of vehicles from passenger vehicles to commercial vehicles.
Among its newest products, the AISIN Group will exhibit the new
MT installed in the Porsche
911 Carrera 4WD from April 2005. AISIN's products
for hybrid vehicles will also be introduced, including several appealing products
that anticipate the future needs of society. Among these are the
2-Motor
Hybrid System installed in the Ford
Escape Hybrid, an
Electric
Oil Pump integrated into the Lexus
RX Hybrid, and a shaft rotor
(for hybrid motors and generators) fitted on the Toyota
Harrier and
Kruger hybrid cars.
The AISIN Group's brake & chassis related products will include the world's
first
Electric Active Stabilizer System, developed jointly with
Toyota Motor Corporation, which contributes to smooth driving. Additionally, our
ESC (Electronic Stability Control: system for preventing horizontal sliding) simulator
will offer visitors hands-on experience with our technologies, as we introduce
systems that pursue safety during driving.
In information related products, an ITS (intelligent transport systems) demonstration
vehicle will introduce
Future Parking Assist System, the
Vehicle Surroundings Monitor System and the
Intersection Obstruction
Notification System, which utilize image processing technologies and
information communications technologies. AISIN will also introduce products that
pursue greater convenience such as its latest car navigation systems.
