Participation
in the 59. IAA International Motor Show

Aisin Group presents on exhibition in the 59. IAA International Motor Show, held
in Frankfurt, in Germany, and from September 12, 2001. We have participated in
the IAA show every time since 1997 (the 57th IAA).
At this show, "Aiming to become a worldwide supplier with the group synergies"
is our goal for this exhibition. In order to show our commitment to the developments
of the innovative and systematized products, we display high-quality, sophisticated,
cost competitive system products realized by our development, production and evaluation
system.
<Outline of the display>
Drivetrain related products
*Displays 6-speed and 5-speed manual transaxles and a 6-speed manual transmission,
which correspond to the market needs for multiple speed transmissions. Three items
(BC16, BC5, AZ-6) were especially selected among the wide-ranging production lineup
of manual transmission.
* Automated Manual Transmission
* Automatic Transmission for commercial vehicle
Body related products
*Displays a variety of door systems, which meet users' needs for convenience,
comfort and safety.
(i.e. Power Slide Door System, Power Back Door System and Smart Entry System,
etc. installed in minivans)
* Sunroof
* Retractable Hardtop System
Brake and chassis related products
*Displays brake system and chassis system installed in a car-shaped panel.
* Shows a video introducing the new company ADVICS's commitment to brake system
development.
Engine related products
*Introduces the system development of engine related products by displaying an
actual engine device equipped with 14 engine parts, which Aisin Group has jointly
developed and produced.
* Demonstrates how Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and Variable Flow Turbocharger
(VFT) systems operate.
* Exhaust Manifolds
Information related products and others
*Displays a simulator of the Parking Assist System. This system is designed to
help drivers park their vehicles while in reverse by monitoring the rear of the
car with a virtual line on the navigation monitor.
* 42V PWM (pulse width modulation) system
* Switched reluctance motor system for EV, HEV and FCEV
