We Are Determined to Embrace a Singleness of Purpose to Become a Global Top Brand.

Happy New Year to everyone.

The previous year was one to celebrate as we entered our 40th year. AISIN achieved record performance on the back of both sales and profit. I would like to express my gratitude to all employees for their efforts in this respect. However, I think we should honestly admit that this growth in sales in the previous year was largely due to increased production among customers and not solely due to our own efforts.

The operating environment has become more severe as competition has grown more fierce in such fields as product development, quality and cost. To win out over the competition and become a global brand, we must emphasize augmenting Group planning and development capabilities in system products. Furthermore, it is essential that we be able to provide the same level of high quality at any manufacturing base around the world, as well as thoroughly bolster our capabilities in mono-zukuri. While we must build highly productive facilities and product designs from the ground up, we must also simplify and streamline everything from protocols to systems. I ask all employees to contribute to this realization.

The new year will be one in which our true abilities will be tested amid the further acceleration of domestic business. So let us all rally as one to combine our strengths toward making AISIN a dynamic and powerful Company.
