Financial Report Notice Concerning Extraordinary Losses and Revisions of the Forecasts for Consolidated and Unconsolidated Financial Results for FY2009

Based on recent business situations and future events, AISIN has announced the following extraordinary losses and revisions of its earnings forecasts for FY2009, released on February 3, 2009, as follows:

1. Extraordinary losses
Consolidated performance:
  Impairment losses on surplus fixed assets
Approx. 10.0billion yen
     
Unconsolidated performance:
  Impairment losses on surplus fixed assets
Approx. 1.6billion yen
  Impairment losses on affiliated company stocks
Approx. 1.7billion yen
  Allowance for doubtful accounts on loans for affiliated companies
 
Approx. 4.7billion yen
 
2. Revision of consolidated and unconsolidated performance projection for FY2009

3. Reasons for the Revisions:
Operating income and ordinary income have been revised upward, mainly because of productivity improvements and cost cut efforts. However, net income (loss) was worsened as a result of the extraordinary losses and re-estimation in deferred tax assets, compared with the previous forecast .
