Financial Report Financial Results for FY 2001 (May 15,2001)

On May 15, Aisin Seiki made public its financial report for the year ending in March (April 1, 2000 through March 31, 2001). Consolidated net sales for the fiscal year ended March 2001 totaled 1,128,484 million yen, up 12.8% from the previous fiscal year.

Consolidated operating income amounted to 64,816 million yen, up 27.6%, and consolidated ordinary income amounted to 63,130 million yen, up 33.8%.
Consolidated net income amounted to -7,230 million yen.

Unconsolidated net sales for the fiscal year ended March 2001 totaled 540,866 million yen, up 5.7% from the previous fiscal year. Unconsolidated operating income amounted to 18,092 million yen, up 29.2%, and unconsolidated ordinary income amounted to 19,320 million yen, up 41.4%.

Unconsolidated net income amounted to -11,351 million yen.
