|
Toyota Boshoku Corporation (Headquarters: Kariya, Aichi Pref., President: Shuhei Toyoda) and Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kariya, Aichi Pref., President: Yasuhito Yamauchi) will jointly establish an automotive interior parts manufacturing company, TBAI Poland Sp.z o.o., in Nowogrodziec, Województwo dolnośląskie, Poland. The new joint venture company will be invested in by Toyota Boshoku Europe N.V. (Zaventem, Belgium) and Aisin Europe S.A. (Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium), both of which are their European management companies, respectively. The new company is planning to deliver its products, automotive seat frames and seat covers, to the seat-assembling bases of Toyota Boshoku’s group companies in Europe. Toyota Boshoku, with the establishment of this new company as its first seat frame manufacturing plant in the European Union region, aims to enhance its production and distribution system capability in Europe to the optimum. Toyota Boshoku and Aisin Seiki have so far cooperated with each other in the development and production of seat frame parts, and the new company will be their third joint venture following the ones in Guangzhou and Tianjin in China. The two corporations will devote their respective realms of expertise into the new company to produce seat frames of high quality and low cost.
