New Aluminium Die Casting Products Company Established in China

Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd., (Mr. Kanshiro Toyoda, president; headquarters in Kariya, Aichi, Japan) established a new company to produce aluminum die casting products in the city of Tangshan, Hebei province, China. The new company, Tangshan Aisin Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., will start production in November 2006.

So far, manufacturing of aluminum die casting products in China has been advancing towards a fully integrated manufacturing system by producing engine parts at Zhejiang Aisin Hongda Automobile Parts Co., Ltd, in eastern China and directly manufacturing some manual transmission (MT) cases at Tangshan Aisin Gear Co., Ltd., a MT maker in northern China. And now, in response to new orders in northern China, a new production base specializing in aluminum die casting products for engines and automatic transmissions was established there.

Meanwhile, in southern China, Aisin Seiki Foshan Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. was established as a production base for aluminum die -casting products for engine parts in April 2004.

Thus, this new company became the fourth aluminum die casting product maker in China. Aluminum die casting production volume in China is expected to increase from approximately 1,000 tons in 2004 to approximately 22,000 tons in 2008. Development of the production system for the aluminum die casting business ? one of our company’s main businesses ? is almost complete in Japan, North America, Europe, China and ASEAN and we will aim to expand our business by building up the global supply system.
